The truly remarkable turnaround that Hartlepool have undergone in the past few weeks continued as a two-one win against Cambridge on Saturday moved us out of the League 2 relegation zone.

A win at the Vic meant that we moved, not only off the foot of the table but out of the relegation zone for the first time since October!

We set ourselves up for another win when Walker (20), following on from his winning penalty last time out, headed us into the lead.

Just past the half hour mark Cambridge were level when Harrold (32), who was the striker that they signed for us to bring in Bird – who was recalled last week, made it one-one at the break.

After Preston loanee, and debutant, Hugill had gone close all three-points were secured at the midway point of the second half when Harrison (67) volleyed home the winner, not only to move us our of the relegation zone but to also drag Cambridge back into the relegation battle.

Now that we’ve moved out of the bottom two can we stay that way? Also, who was our MotM from this win, cast a vote in the poll to your right!
