Danny Wilson named a completely different side to the one that beat RKC Waalwijk comfortably on Tuesday night as Pools faced Israel`s second division champions.

There were few chances between the two sides early on until Joel Porter`s shot midway through the half. Both sides continued to equal each but new signing Ian Moore went close for Pools

The best chance of the half, however, went to the Israeli`s. A piece of neat play led to a chance for a Kiryat attacker, Pools were lucky to go in at half time level after the ball hit the post.

Pools made changes at half time and both Joel Porter and Ritchie Humphreys went close. Humphreys impressed particularly with a free kick from 20 yards that just missed the target.

The defence couldn`t prevent Kiryat from scoring, the Israelis rounded keeper Arran Lee-Barrett and slotted the ball home. Gary Liddle then hit the bar with a header before Kiryat put the game beyond reach with a slick move forward.

Pools made more changes including giving a trialist half an hour and sub Matty Robson had an effort well saved. The score remained the same but Pools improved towards the end of the game.

Comment
Its disapointing to lose in our toughest game of the trip but it is all about gettng game time under the players belts. Micky Nelson and Godwin Antwi are playing well in defence which is good. Pools will head back to England for next Wednesdays match against AZ Alkmaar.
