Manager Ronnie Moore has called on Hartlepool to get at Stevenage in tonight’s game.

With more postponements than matches lately it seems, the gaffer has told the Hartlepool Mail in his pre game press interviews that the players simply had to get at the side to ensure we came out with all three points.

Hosting the side at the Vic tonight, the gaffer explained.

‘I`m guessing they will be travelling up on the day so it`s up to us to get at them. We must look to set the tempo and come out all guns blazing. We`ll be looking to get the ball in their half straight away, given the pace we have up top. I`ll be saying to the lads ‘let`s get at them`.’

With a quick start against Exeter but no goals to show for early efforts, Moore knows the start but with an end product has to be the aim tonight and Hartlepool having five games in hand on Stevenage, three points tonight could be huge to the make up of the table as whilst it would only move us up a place, if that could be sustained, Hartlepool could proverbially shoot up the table.

‘Stevenage could have gone seven points in front of us if they had won on Saturday. We now have a chance to claw them right back in if we beat them.’
