Gamble Will Need To Wait For First Team Chance

Hartlepool United’s Director of Sport Chris Turner has told fans that new signing Joe Gamble will start his career at the club from the bench.

With Pools still unable to train on grass and Gamble having not played a game for some time, Turner wants to bring the former Irish international into the team more gradually.

”Joe wouldn’t have started on Saturday because he’s not played since early-November when their season finished. We haven’t been out on the grass and I don’t think we’ll be out until MK Dons.”

He says that despite the unfortunate weather all time he spent working with his new team-mates will be worthwhile ”But at least he’ll have another week with the players.

”He would have taken part in the game last Saturday at some stage I’m sure.” he told the Sunderland Echo.
