David Foley has told of his delight at sealing a move to American side Puerto Rico Islanders.

Foley had made just 2 first team appearances this season and was pleased with the chance to kickstart his career ”When my agent spoke to me and said there was interest from this team who had watched me a couple of times in the Reserves, I was interested.

”I hadn’t played this season and so I wasn’t confident of being here next year so I pulled Chris and told him about it all. We both agreed that the move would be a good one for me if it happened and he said he would sort it out for me at this end and here we are now – it’s all done and dusted this end.”

He told the official site he was proud of his time at Victoria Park ”My debut was a good day but I think I was too young to really understand what was going on.

”I think my biggest high point with the Club was the Stoke City game, which definitely has to be at the top. I’d like to thank Chris Turner and the staff at the Club for helping me make this move happen.”
