I know on my last article that Ronnie Moore was concerned about Pools at both ends. Well the goals for and corners taken this season must be rising alarmingly. We again had 11 corners at Exeter and I cannot remember the last time we scored directly from a corner, but the ratio is not good.

Corners and the resultant goals come in two ways. Training ground drills (which Ronnie was addressing he said) and good set piece delivery, well this isn’t happening because we aint scoring from enough of them.

One game last season we had twenty odd corners and no goals and lost 1-0. So lets hope more work has been done ahead of the visit of Cambridge, I fancy a 0-0 …………I want a 3-0 with headers from corners to POOLS that is..

Keeping the faith but not at corners!
