It’s being reported today that manager Colin Cooper will sit down and do his best to tie up longer term loan deals for Luke Williams and Jack Barmby this week.

Since joining us on an initial one month loan deal from Middlesbrough, 20 year old striker Williams has gone on to make four starting appearances for us and found the net for the first time this season in the two nil victory over Dagenham and Redbridge in our last match.

19 year old Barmby also joined us initially on a one month loan spell from Manchester United, has gone on to make one start and two substitute appearances for the club, scoring once in his debut against York City.

The deals for both players are dude to expire following the game against Northampton Town on February 22nd, but such is the way they have slotted into the team, the gaffer is hopeful of extending the loan spells by at least a further month, if not for the full 93 days allowed by emergency loan spells.

With the closure of the January transfer window, I’m unsure if we have the freedom to extend the loan spells until the end of the season now?

I’ve not seen either play and some of the reviews of them have been mixed? What do people think, should we extend them and will Coops do this?
