Collins: We’ve Got To Change Our Half Time Routine

Hartlepool United captain Sam Collins has told his team mates to change their half time routine.

Pools lost against Southend on Saturday despite leading 2-0 after half time and Collins insists that can’t go on ”What we do at half-time is probably one of the things Colin and the manager will look at.

”I suppose they’re always looking at things we can do better. But it’s not just those two. You can’t always rely on those two. As an individual, you’ve got to think if we’ve not done well in the second half of games, what’s the reason why?”

It was the sixth time this season that Pools had lost after taking the lead and Collins told the Mail the players need to motivate themselves ”’To a certain extent, it’s got to come from within.

”You’ve got to go out on the pitch and do it yourselves. We could be in the top six if we hadn’t thrown away these leads.

”A sign of a good team is when they get in front and know they’re not going to get beat. We’ve got to try to get that into us as a team.”
