Chris Turner Thinks Safety Is Within Reach

Hartlepool United caretaker manager Chris Turner has admitted Pools could go a long way towards securing their League One status this week.

Pools welcome Tranmere Rovers and Peterbrough to Victoria Park this week after 2 impressive away results and Turner wants to capitalise on that form.

”I’m looking forward to these two home games now because of the good displays we’ve shown away in the past week.” he told the official site.

He added that a pair of good results could help Pools pull away from the relegation zone ”The return of points has been good and the next two games at Victoria Park give us the opportunity to really stabilise our position in League One.

”Tranmere are a good side and we’ve had some really tough encounters with them over the years so I don’t expect tonight to be any different.

”However, if we can show the same sort of commitment and determination that we did at Swindon and Colchester then we’ll have a good chance.”
