Hartlepool United Reserves were beaten by Rotherham this afternoon with striker Denis Behan suffering an unlucky injury.

Pools started the game poorly and Ryan Taylor scored to give the Millers the lead on 20 minutes. This was just minutes after Behan had been stretchered off injured.

Pools equalised right on the half time whistle as Billy Greulich fired home and were given the ideal chance to take the lead in the second half when Armann Bjornsson won a penalty.

Michael Mackay took the spot kick but his penalty was saved by the home keeper Jamie Annerson.

Trialist Taiwo Atieno then gave the home side the lead before Taylor added a third to put the game out of reach. Greulich grabbed another late on but Pools were condemned to their first defeat of 2010.
