Hartlepool United’s new signing Nobby Solano has said he can’t wait to make his debut for the club.
Solano sensationally joined Pools a week ago and he now admits he’s looking forward to the new campaign, saying his new side can aim high.
”I’m excited. I am happy to be here – this is a good challenge. I`m going to try my best to help Hartlepool win promotion.
”I am not here to be with my friends in Newcastle – yes, I like the North East because I love the people and my friends and members of my family are here. I`m here to play football – that`s my main thing.”
He told the Sunderland Echo that he was pleased to be reunited with Mick Wadsworth, who he worked with during his time at Newcastle.
”He’s a tough guy, but he`s great man, a good professional and he`s got ambition. He wants to get to the Championship and I am here to try to help him.
”I like people who want me to play for them and I want to do well for him. This club has ambitions and I want to help them.”
