Alan Thompson Announces Retirement

Former Hartlepool United loanee Alan Thompson has retired from football aged 34.

Thompson spent a month on loan at Pools earlier this year and played 7 times, scoring once.

Thommo was rumoured to be making the switch to Victoria Park permanent but has chose to end his career.

The former Celtic man said told the Leeds website ”I’ve had a good career, but I’ve decided to call it a day.

”I’m going to take a bit of time out now, but I would like to stay involved in the game.”
