Hartlepool United have re-signed former striker Adam Boyd from Leyton Orient.
The 26-year-old will sign for an undisclosed five-figure fee from the O’s to rejoin his hometown side where he started his career.
It’s been 3 years since Boyd last donned the blue and white shirt, he left Pools for Luton in 2006 before switching to Orient a year later.
Boyd had scored 60 goals in 108 starts for Pools with his most prolific season coming in 2004/05 where he bagged 29 goals.

I don’t agree with those who say we can’t go back. I think this is a brilliant signing for us, and I’m very hopeful of a good next season.
boo
welcome back Baoydy.Excellent signing
Good – someone we know can score goals in a Pools shirt. Now, who will supply the crosses for him to get onto? Lots of rebuilding going on
Scored goals for fun when he was with you before – since then appears to have struggled a bit, hopefully for yoursakes he picks up where he left off with Pool.
