I must say I am more upbeat about the way we are playing and we are looking like we can come back from a goal down to equalise but we cant stop the late rot at the other end. We have scored 5 in the last three but conceded 6, three of which were in the last 5 minutes and two/three of which were errors by Pools players. We could and should have had 2 more points at least.

We have been unlucky I hear you say. Well I always thought when in a wall for a freekick you put one hand on your groin and the other across your chest to remove any penalty issue. The other goal was the result of letting the ball bounce and was like a Sunday morning pub team goal. The one against County was a keeper miss and he has been Brilliant for Pools.

We are in a real battle to stay in the league and we may well be in the bottom two by Tuesday night as Yeovil and York play. We were in fact lucky on Saturday in many ways as York lost and the Daggers missed a penalty before losing 3-2. Yeovil conceded a 90th minute equaliser against ten men so we are not the only ones feeling we are unlucky.

Lastly we really need points in the bag by 42 games as our last few games are against the current top teams and may be pointless.

Careful team selection required Saturday against the super form team ….someone will beat them soon, Pools it would be nice………

You Pools.
