Hartlepool United are set to train 3 Malaysian footballers as part of their link with Sarawak FC.

Joseph Kalang Tie, 21, Mohd Shahrol Saperi, 24, and Zamri Morshidi, 25, will join Pools for a two month stint between now and Christmas.

Social Development and Urbanisation Minister Datuk William Mawan said that the link would help the players who were key parts of the Sarawak side last season ”Hartlepool United can provide Sarawak with ideas and information on how to structure our youth development programme more efficiently.

”They were selected to undergo this (training) programme with the hope and intent that they will improve technically and mentally.”

The link with Sarawak FC was established over the summer when defender Ritchie Humphreys joined Pools coaches in a trip to Malaysia.
